FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Inkblot Psychology Clinic provides assessments to support SCSA special exam arrangement applications for Year 11 and 12 ATAR students with a eligible previous diagnosis (e.g. dyslexia) that requires an updated functional assessment.

This process includes:

Parent/Guardian Interview - 30 minutes

Assessment - 2 hours*

Assessments selected will be relevant to the prior diagnosis and may include:

  • Functional assessment of literacy skills (phonetical knowledge, word reading, reading rate, comprehension, accuracy)

  • Functional assessment of written expression skills (spelling, handwriting, grammar and punctuation, organisation and clarity)

  • Functional assessment of numeracy skills

Feedback (emailed 3-4 weeks following the assessment)

  • Short report provided

Total Fee $1100

There is a $100 non-refundable booking fee, credited to the completed assessment cost, taken at the time of booking. $350 is due on the day of the interview, and the remainder on the day of the assessment.
