Combined assessment
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are common neurodevelopmental conditions that can affect attention, learning, behaviour, and day-to-day functioning.
ADHD affects approximately 6% of the population and is characterised by difficulties with attention, impulsivity, and/or hyperactivity that are inconsistent with a person's developmental level. Symptoms may be mild, moderate, or severe and can significantly impact academic performance and daily life. Specific Learning Disorders affect an estimated 5–15% of school-aged children and involve persistent difficulties in key academic areas such as reading, written expression, and mathematics. Reading difficulties (commonly referred to as dyslexia) are the most common form of SLD.
These conditions frequently occur alongside one another, as well as with anxiety and other neurodevelopmental disorders. A comprehensive assessment can help identify an individual's unique strengths and challenges, provide clarity around diagnosis, and guide tailored recommendations for support at school and home
