This condition may manifest as mild, moderate, severe, or profound, depending on the severity of limitations in functioning. Diagnosis involves comprehensive assessments to determine the severity of limitations and individual needs. Tailored support and interventions can enhance the quality of life for those with intellectual disability, facilitating their participation in society.

INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY ASSESSMENT PROCESS

Inkblot Psychology Clinic provides comprehensive assessments to assess for possible Intellectual Disabilities (ID).

This process includes:

Parent interview - 1 hour

Assessment - 2 hours*

• Cognitive (IQ) assessment

• Functional assessment of literacy and numeracy skills

Online checklists (links emailed to parent and teacher/s)

• Assessment of adaptive behaviours

Feedback (emailed 4-5 weeks following the assessment)

• Comprehensive Report provided

• Feedback Consultation (30 mins)

Total Fee $1750

There is a $100 non-refundable booking fee, credited to the completed assessment cost, taken at the time of booking. $700 is payable at the time of parent interview, and the balance is due on the day of the assessment.
