MEDICARE REBATES

Medicare rebates are available for psychological services provided under a Mental Health Care Plan. This Plan is completed by your General Practitioner (GP) or Psychiatrist and provides access to Medicare rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. A review of progress, completed by your GP, is required after 6 therapy sessions.

Sessions with a psychologist at Inkblot Clinic attract a rebate of $93.35 per session. Please note: sessions with a provisional psychologist do not attract a rebate.

Medicare rebates can also be claimed for sessions conducted over tele-health (phone or video).

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE REBATES

Private health insurance plans may provide rebates for certain types of psychology services. Please check with your insurance provider to obtain further information regarding your level of cover.

Patients are able to claim a single rebate for each psychological therapy session attended.

CLAIMING

Medicare or private health fund rebates may be claimed at the clinic on the day of your consultation via HICAPS.

Please note, you cannot claim both a Medicare and a private health insurance rebate for the same consultation.
